Rose Water

May8

Im going to be experimenting with Rose Water. My parents rose bush finally popped out full of roses and I took about 7 or 8 roses to make some rose water with.

1. Since rose oil has anti-inflammatory properties, using rose water can help in reducing the redness from irritated or over-heated skin.

2. It is a great cleanser and aids in removing oil and dirt accumulated in clogged pores. Thus preventing acne and pimples.

3. It has astringent like properties, which is why it is used after facials and clean ups to close open pores. Applying rose water after steaming tightens capillaries, reduces redness and blotchiness.

4. The aroma of roses is said to be a powerful mood enhancer. It rids you of feelings of anxiety and promotes emotional wellbeing, thereby making you look relaxed. Since it is de-stressing, it helps you sleep better which means you will wake up feeling fresh.

5. The best and easiest way to use it is to apply it at night. It helps clear all impurities that your face has collected through the day.

ALSO:
Derived from the petals and sepals of the classic flower, the solution can aid in clearer pores, lighten dark circles, promote healthier hair and even create a light fragrance.

Now what im really expecting it to do is clear up a few dark spots on my face but if the other bonuses help me out; it WILL become a staple for me.

Shoulder Length

March10

God has finally helped me to reach FULL shoulder length!!!!!! I need to get some pictures uploaded on here to show you guys(ill do it later when i get the chance). I was already shoulder length but I guess I didnt feel like it was there, now its like a inch in a half past shoulder length and I have a inch to a inch in a half to reach armpit length. I also am testing out Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Moisturizer to see if its a replacement for my African Pride Moisturizing lotion. I relaxed at 9 weeks post!! I would have went longer but then my hair started shedding ALOT, like wayyy more than usual. Relaxed with Hawaiian Silk No Base Relaxer; coated my ends with Softee Herbal grease, and Blue Magic coconut grease.

I found that three of my staple products will be:
Tresemme Split Ends Leave in Conditioner
V05 Conditioners
Tresemme Replenishing Rituals Deep Conditioner

I’ve also worked on my water intake and have been drinking past 32 oz’s of water. The next items I plan on getting are vitamins, oils, and the whole tresemme split end series( cause i got a thing for them <333) I know they dont cure split ends but i love them ingredients! Plus my hair loves them too and protein is in the first five items listed on the leave in.

This week, I will be using coconut oil to seal my ends and Elasta Qp to moisturize my hair for now. I will also be working on my skin routine(finallllyy)

Dont blame tresemme LOL

February23

*sigh* I saw this video earlier today and I felt kinda sad for the girl but laughed at her expression. This gives me tips on what not to do with a curling iron. I dont knooow what happened but I dont think the spray she used is to blame because I have used Tresemme split ends leave in spray( matter fact I use it every week) and I flat ironed my hair with it and this never happened. But I dont know… I also used a heat protectant with it and let my hair air dry before using a heat tool…

I had to give my hair a break from the clamps!! Ive worn that style for about 5 weeks and my hair has very good new growth but I wont to nurture my edges for a bit soo I decided to roller set them. Im going to try to wear a rollerset all this week and my hair is holding them super good!! So good that I dont even have to roll them tonight! Lol!I need to stock up on more conditioners and find a protein deep conditioner. I may even make my own but I still need to purchase Bragg Amino Acids.

Found What I Was Missing

February15

I havent posted in a while since Ive been busy through the weeks but now I am about to be 6 weeks post and I finally found the solution to my bangs problem. They were kinda frizzy and out of place at the ends of my hair and for months I didnt know what it was until this Monday I decided to do a protein treatment that I rarely to never do. I used a egg, olive oil, Tresemme Purify and Replenish conditioner and a banana and let that sit on my head for a while, and then I washed it out. I wrapped it and in the morning my hair felt so much stronger and my ends werent even frizzy. 3 Days past and my hair is still in shape.
IMG_1611 This is a picture of my hair wrapped today, but the hair that is pulled out and curly is the part of my hair that reverted after I got my relaxer.

Havent Been on In A Bit

January30

Wow time has certainly flew by. I havent even used my new hair masque yet because I kinda forgot 🙁 But I am almost 4 weeks post and my new growth is manageable! I did a coffee rinse yesterday and it feels stronger and healthier. Ive been wearing my hair up all the time so I wouldnt mess with it and I flat ironed it on Sunday using my Tresemme Heat Protectant. The results were nice but I washed it a day later since I was trying out for track ( turned out I got the wrong date plan so…) But I wont be flat ironing until two weeks later and Ill be co washing this weekend and using my new masque.

Ive decided to wear my hair like this for the next few days, since my hair is giving me a head ache. I also noticed that two spots on the left and right side(one spot on each) has been a little sore. So I think im going to stop the ponytails for awhile! Instead I will be using a clamp. Before; I WAS using the clamp but my hair got so thick that the clamp couldnt even gather all of it so I had rollersetted my hair instead. Now im going to use the clamp in a different style like the one above! 🙂

January21

I got some V05 Tea Therapy conditioner today and I was suppose to get some olive oil but ill get that later. It smells really good but the thing is I dont know where to put it in my regimen. I already have my moisture milks for saturday but what I will probably do is just alternate them for saturday instead. On the other hand my hair really likes Africa’s Best braid sheen spray. I used yesterday for moisture since my hair was really dry and then I sealed with EVOO and a few other oils; which made it come out really moisturized. So Ill be using that to moisturize my hair while its in a ponytail. Ill also be moving the position of my ponytail every two days so my hair wont break and putting my elastic band in oil. I mixed my hold spray with some leavin conditioner for health benefits because I need to hurry up and get that off my hair shelf lol. Im also 3 weeks and 2 days post relaxer.

My DIY lip balm and co wash today

January17

So I found a place to put my lip balm 🙂 In a softee jar lid. But anyways, Ive decided to co wash my hair today because it’s been in a ponytail all this week and on Saturday it will be shampoo day soo I just wanted to refresh my hair. I recently found out about rubber bands and apparently they cause breakage? Well I havent expierenced that before in my life time before but for cautious measures I bought some silicone elastic rubber bands :/

Products im gonna use is Suave professionals almond and shea butter, honey, olive oil creme hairdress and wrap lotion.
